Route settings
Route:
- Avoid traffic, Ignore traffic: both options take into account traffic information to calculate the estimated time to destination or estimated arrival time. Avoid traffic calculates, in addition, a route that avoids traffic delays.
- Shortest is to minimize the driving distance from the departure to destination points. The route does not depend on traffic conditions, however, traffic information is used to calculate the estimated arrival time to the destination.
- Pedestrian provides the best route for pedestrians, taking into account information about pedestrian-only streets, one-way streets, and streets forbidden to pedestrians.
- Compare allows the user to compare arrival time and distance travelled for the same route but with the different options.
Toll roads:
- Use toll roads: paying tolls is acceptable.
- Avoid toll roads: paying tolls is not acceptable.
- Compare: display the time to destination for these two options, which allows to select the best option for the route.
Automatic re-route:
If you leave the route corridor, the option "Automatic re-route" will download automatically a new route without prompting you. If the option is not set, a dialog box will prompt you to accept the download.
Overview map:
Select Download to download a static map of the entire itinerary from departure to destination.
Smart traffic update:
This option enables traffic information updates during an itinerary. If traffic conditions change significantly during an itinerary a message is displayed indicating the reason for the improved itinerary and prompts you to accept or refuse the proposed re-routing. Providing that the user accepts, the newly calculated route is downloaded. Otherwise, navigation continues using the current route. Click the checkbox to enable this option.
Traffic update frequency:
- Manual: traffic information is updated upon user request by selecting Refresh/Update traffic info in the navigation menu; a new route can be downloaded by selecting Refresh/Refresh route in the navigation menu.
- Time set: the traffic update frequency is selected by the user.
Available options :
- Edit : modify the selected setting
- Reset route settings : Reset the setting to default.
- Back : back to previous screen.
